Diane Lee of Delicious Publishing has put together a series about the secret lives of writers, and I was the latest contributor. I don't want to spoil the fun for you, so here is the link to the series.
Please excuse my flair for the dramatic, there really is nothing TOP secret about writing, but there are definitely some things you won't find out until you're already down the rabbit hole.

I think writers don't really have secret lives. Their secrets are usually an open book if you actually read their works. You can tell how they usually make choices in life and what are their deep seated aspirations. If you know how to uncover sarcasm and figures of speech, it would be way easier to deconstruct hidden messages. I make it a habit to read a writers's work before I judge them. I don't think it's right to judge any person but if you are a writer, you are like a public figure with a life that is supposed to be an open book if anyone would just "open the book" literally.
