The regular juicers out there probably know where this is going, but to give you a little background on why this is so important, I've got to confess a secret. I am a sugar addict... currently on the wagon, but always one leg off, feeling for the pavement beneath. Honestly if you left me alone in a room with a box of snack cakes or donuts, I could feasibly try to eat them all and hide the evidence. I love making cakes and cookies for work so I can lick the bowl afterward, and take home the leftovers.
Ever since I started juicing regularly I've noticed something crazy going on. I CRAVE juice! Not just the fruity and delicious, borderline tropical umbrella juices, but the green ones, the spicy ones, the savory ones full of carrots and beets. Now, when I see a rogue bag of cookies left unattended, I may be tempted to take one, but before it hits my lips I already know it isn't what I want. In fact, I could eat the whole bag, feel sick for having eaten so many cookies, and then go searching for my juicer. I don't even get the same pleasure from the taste of sweets that I used to, now that I've experienced what real satisfaction tastes like.
Call me a Junkie for sure, because juice is my new addiction, and luckily I know the dealer (me!).
